Elbrächter & Drebes (1978: 362, fig. 8a): "supposedly validates Swift, who failed to provide an illustration (but he did indirectly cite illustrations and I would accept it)" (Silva, INA). Silva also notes that "even if Swift is not accepted, there is Drebes, Marine Phytoplankton, p. 150, figs 133-134, 1974" (not seen by AlgaeBase). - (14 October 2014) - G.M. Guiry
